The oldest backpackers in the Drakensberg
Sani Lodge, a pioneer backpackers on the famous Sani Pass to Lesotho, borders the Drakensberg World Heritage Site. It was born in 1992, the lovechild of knowledgeable owners Simone and Russell (author of A Backpacker’s Guide to Lesotho).
This tranquil retreat, nestling deep in the mountains, is homely, comfy and welcoming with a laidback vibe, lashings of rural charm, activities aplenty, Simone’s Swiss cuisine, renowned chocolate gateau and organic foods.
