A secure haven in Jozi
Melville may be the vibrant, cultural hub of Jozi with a nightlife that’ll keep you bouncing ‘till the wee hours, but at some point you’re gonna want to mellow out in a secure haven like this.
MIB has made numerous improvements and as Peter has over 10 years of experience in running backpackers, you can expect excellent service - not to mention a homely feel, wooden floors and high-pressed ceilings. Add to that spacious lounge areas leading onto a walled garden and a pool for summer dunks. The outdoor braai should more than cater to carnivorous cravings. Alternatively use the self-catering kitchen - it could be your mom’s, it’s so well equipped. As for location, what more could you ask for than to be within walking distance of trendy Melville where café culture is so well entrenched, all day cappuccino slurping is perfectly acceptable. Adequately caffeinated, browse upmarket shops and galleries. Nights will have you hopping from cocktail bar to restaurant to pub to club. All the more reason to pick a spot where you can catch your breath and put the mellow back into Melville...
