Go a little (or a lot) crazy at this brand new backpackers located midway between Port St Johns town and Second Beach. The main house has dorms, a self-catering kitchen and spacious dining room. Scattered around the garden are a variety of cottages and apartments. Everyone who works here is slightly mad, but oh-so friendly that you’ll soon find yourself playing and (tea) partying along day and night.
Spend sunshine hours swimming on Second Beach or exploring dense coastal jungle (the abundant birdlife makes Port St Johns heaven for twitchers). Go for a hike or cast a line into the Indian Ocean. You can even catch the ferry across the Umzimvubu River, take a tour of local communities or go on a guided coastal hike. Then rejoin the Mad Hatter madness in the pool room or bar before heading to the restaurant deck for a meal overlooking Pondoland’s rolling hills and thriving communities. The food served here is fit for a Queen of Hearts!
