Kwantu Game Reserve
Take a game ranger's course or volunteer at this private reserve.
If you think that a white rhino gives more lip than a black rhino, or that hyena are good for a laugh, then perhaps you should consider returning to (bush) school at Kwantu’s Game Ranger Course. On offer is a game ranger course that will admit you as blunt as a dung beetle’s ball, and spit you out as sharp as a qualified field guide spouting interesting facts like an elephant in a mud hole. The course covers the basics - you know stuff about earth, stuff about sky, stuff about weather and lots of stuff about animals, birds and stuff. You’ll sleep in lekker lodgings with communal loafing areas, braai place and swimming pool. You’ll never go hungry with their scrumptious lunches and dinners. And when the bell goes, you’ll be free to horse ride, play hooky in a historic town or wash off the wild with a lekker surf.
Stick your hands into every wild pie with Kwantu’s Volunteer Project. Sample anything from game monitoring, fence installation and caring for sanctuary animals to community upliftment projects, guest hosting and anti-poaching. Accommodation is baked to perfection and gobsmacking grub is dished daily in the café eatery. No worries about their no tipple policy - you’ll be way too busy to even notice!
