Overlooking ivory sands and backed by green hills that swoop down to a sparkling sea, Bulungula offers intrepid travellers the opportunity to experience a slice of African paradise.

This jewel of a village, cut off from the outside world by forests, rivers and the ocean was until 2010 only accessible to 4x4’s and intrepid hikers but it now has a road accessible to all.
Take a beach horse ride to the beautiful Xhora River where you can paddle canoes upstream to the forested cliffs. Or jump onto a tube with a cold beer and let a river of kamikaze jumping fish float you home through a lush kingfisher bright forest. As the sun sets, stroll to the mud-hut shebeen* to share a pot of Jabulani (happiness) beer.
