NapierWC

A tranquil and quirky country village.

Established in 1838, Napier is a half hour drive from Cape Agulhas, where the two oceans really meet. It’s a quirky spot with some unusual features. The pub and the church are neighbours, livestock can be kept in town, so horses, donkeys, cows, sheep, ducks and chickens live here too, there are no traffic lights and the one and only bank opens twice a week. This tranquil country village lies en route to Arniston (with its dazzling beach, turquoise waters and lovely coastal walks), half an hour from the southernmost tip of Africa (hello Australia), close to De Hoop Nature Reserve (whales, solitude and wildlife) and is pretty charming just as a country stop kinda place.

In some areas they may be the only bus service and are unlikely to have a strict timetable.
